Funerals at KAM
When Death Occurs
The death of a loved one is a difficult experience for anyone, but while we as Christians grieve, we do not sorrow without hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Our funeral care team is here to help ease the burden and assist your family through the funeral planning process.
First Steps
Upon the death of a loved one, notify the church as soon as possible by calling 317-376-8200. A funeral care team member will contact you at their earliest possible convenience.

A Service of Worship
Funeral services at KAM are in keeping with the church’s Christian standards and beliefs. The service is considered an act of worship that glorifies God, celebrates the deceased, comforts the family, and affirms eternal life through Jesus Christ. KAM will accommodate the family’s wishes as much as possible, including conducting the funeral or memorial service at the church, a funeral home, or at the gravesite, and incorporating military honors when applicable.

Officiant
The senior pastor, campus pastor, or designated staff pastor serve as officiants at all funerals held at KAM. With advance approval, a guest minister may officiate or share in conducting the service.

Date and time of services
The date and time of funeral services are arranged based on the officiant’s availability and/or services and events on the church calendar that cannot be cancelled.
